Prosecutor Bang Tae Seop sets an ambitious plan in motion to expose Mayor Nam Hye Hun and use the scandal as his steppingstone into politics.

With damaging evidence in hand, Tae Seop approaches Yang Mi, ready to play his cards. However, he soon learns disturbing news about Sang Ah that could become a serious problem.

Tae Seop meets Kwon Se Myeong's eldest son and the members of the Creation Party to secure a nomination. After that, he steps down from his position as a prosecutor.

Seven years ago, a case occurred in which famous film producer Oh Gwang-jae was murdered by Park Jae-sang, Sang-ah's bodyguard. Tae-seop, the prosecutor in charge of the case, learns the truth but keeps it hidden.

Sang Ah discovers that Jung Won has been working for Tae Seop, and Jung Won shares how she came to know him and reveals her past. Meanwhile, Tae Seop presents a long-kept secret weapon to Chairman Kwon.

Sang Ah finds Jae Sang and begs him to get rid of the recording. Jae Sang refuses and decides to do a live stream to expose Sang Ah. Seeing no hope, Sang Ah decides to end her life and leaves a note to Jung Won.

Tae Seop registers as a candidate for the Creation Party and begins full-scale election campaigning. Yang Mi funds Tae Seop’s rival, making him seek a sponsor who has a grudge against her. However, Yang Mi finds out through a fortune-teller that Tae Seop is the best match for her, so she tries to win him over again.

With Jong Wook’s source, Tae Seop learns that Yang Mi is using the movie to launder money for Assemblyman Son Guk Won. Sang Ah meets Jung Won again for the table read. Jung Won asks if Sang Ah was putting on a show and using her just like she did with Park Jae Sang, and Sang Ah can’t answer. Later, Sang Ah finds out what Jung Won intended to do with Park Jae Sang.

After Sang Ah's shocking scandal breaks, Tae Seop loses the election by a large margin and is expelled from the party. Yang Mi decides to give Tae Seop one last chance, and despite the risk of hurting someone he’s closest to, he decides to take the chance. Meanwhile, Sang Ah goes to see Jung Won and confronts her.

A year has passed since Jung Won's death. Sang Ah's movie gets released, and Tae Seop works for Son Guk Won, who is now a presidential candidate. Tae Seop tells Sang Ah that he has a weapon to strike Yang Mi, and it turns out to be what Jung Won gave to him before her death.
